Aberdare Community Parish Hall
Every Wednesday and Sunday evening at 7.30 – 9.00pm.
The best way to go about learning Jissen Kobudo is to simply turn up at a class to take part (or to watch). The atmosphere in our training has its emphasis on helping each other develop rather than on competition with other members of the group. Beginners therefore will always find themselves welcomed at our training.
There is no need to wear any special clothing until you have been training for some weeks although in order to begin training, you should wear something which will allow you to move freely such as tracksuit bottoms, tee-shirt, etc.
Although new members are always welcomed at our training sessions we would ask that you contact us before coming along for the first time.
The Aberdare Community Parish Hall is just outside the town centre, at the bottom of Monk Street, which is the main route from Aberdare to Maerdy. It is situated next to the rear entrance of Yr Ieuan Ap Iago, the local JD Wetherspoon pub, which is on Aberdare High Street.
There is ample car parking available at the High Street Car Park which is opposite the Wetherspoon’s pub. Parking is free of charge here from 3.00pm each day.
